Nevada King Gold Corp. (TSXV: NKG) (OTCQX: NKGFF) just announced assay results from seven vertical, reverse circulation holes and one vertical core hole recently completed at its 100% owned Atlanta Gold Mine Project, located 264km northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Highlights:

102.2m of 2.45 g/t Au including 12.2m of 8.78 g/t Au

65.5m of 1.52 g/t Au (bottoming in mineralization)

2.45 g/t Au in Nevada…. hmmmmm….. [scratches beard].

😱 Projects in Quebec Halted

Numerous mining companies in Quebec, Canada, are evacuating employees and pausing work due to over 160 forest fires, 114 of which are deemed out of control.

About 200 military personnel have been deployed to assist, and the provincial government has implemented an emergency order prohibiting access to wooded areas.

Several companies including Patriot Battery Metals, Osisko Mining, and Wallbridge Mining have halted operations and exploration activities due to the fires.

Canada is experiencing its worst year of wildfire destruction on record, with 413 active fires and 26,000 people under evacuation orders.

👏 Junior Finds 215m+ Gold in Yukon

Sitka Gold Corp. (CSE: SIG) (FSE: 1RF) (OTCQB: SITKF) published assay results from the Blackjack deposit in the Yukon Territory. Hole 42 was drilled to expand the Blackjack deposit at depth and to the southeast and was stepped 80 m to the west of DDRCCC-23-041 (see news release dated May 24, 2023).

Highlights:

180.2 m of 1.15 g/t Au within a larger interval of 215.1 m of 1.00 g/t Au.

More assay results completed during the 2023 winter drilling program are pending.
