π Galiano Expands Production
Galiano Gold Inc. (TSX: GAU) (NYSE American: GAU) has entered into a binding share purchase agreement with subsidiaries of Gold Fields Limited to acquire Gold Fields' 45% interest in the Asanko Gold Mine.
Gold Fields will receive $20 million in Galiano Shares, up to $85 million in future cash, and a 1% net smelter return royalty on 447,000 ounces of gold from the Nkran deposit. Additionally, they'll get $65 million in cash upon closing the acquisition, representing its JV cash balance interest.
This consolidation doubles Galiano's gold production, cash flow, and resources. Awesome. The market loves it and the stock is up over 20% on the news.
