πŸ’ͺ Barrick Ramps Up

Barrick Gold's Goldrush underground mine in Nevada, operated by its joint venture with Newmont, Nevada Gold Mines, received U.S. Bureau of Land Management approval.

The mine, starting production in 2024, is expected to produce 130,000 ounces of gold in its first year, increasing to 400,000 ounces annually by 2028. Barrick, holding a 61.5% stake in the venture, plans to invest nearly $1 billion in the project. The mine will create significant employment and contribute to education funding in Nevada through taxes.

Additionally, Barrick's adjacent Fourmile deposit development shows promising future integration prospects. On top of that, Barrick recently got the green flag to restart operations at their high-grade Porgera mine in Papua New Guinea.

Plain sailing for this major.
