The funding aims to enhance research and knowledge in the deployment of small modular reactors (SMRs) in a safe and secure manner and strengthen the science needed for regulatory decisions.
The projects will address various research challenges, including environmental protection, risk management, cybersecurity, understanding nuclear material produced by SMRs, and the impact of human factors.
The research findings will inform regulatory decisions and contribute to the development of clean energy technology in Canada.

๐ Patriot Denies Sale
However, Patriot acknowledged that it has engaged a range of advisers and key personnel to support the development of its flagship Corvette lithium spodumene asset in Quebec.
The company is currently working on the Mineral Resource Estimate for the project, which is expected to be published in late July.
Despite operational disruptions caused by wildfires in the area, Patriot does not anticipate a significant impact on the release of the estimate.
Australian companies, including Mineral Resources, Pilbara Minerals, and Wesfarmers, have been rumored to be interested in acquiring Patriot Battery Metals to expand their presence in the North American lithium market.
