🥸 China One Step Closer To Parallel Uranium Market

China produces a portion of the 12,000 tons of uranium it needs every year, the rest is imported from major producers such as Kazatomprom, Cameco, and Orano, with Kazakhstan being the primary supplier (surprise surprise).

To ensure uninterrupted uranium supply, CNNC built a warehouse at the border, which they plan to turn into a trading platform for uranium. In the future, CNNC plans to establish an Alashankou price index, provided there is enough interest from traders.

Western trading companies have shown interest in the warehouse, but they cannot participate yet, as there quite a few bureaucratic steps to be cleared.

Simon Sun, a director at CNNC subsidiary China National Uranium Co. (CNUC) revealed that CNNC's long-term vision is to build a nuclear fuel conversion facility in the Alashankou region, where material can be stored, converted, and transported to Shanghai port for export to the Western markets.

🤑 F3 Skyrockets With Another Hit

The interesting thing about a uranium discovery is that sometimes, you can tell if the core has uranium by running a scintillometer reading on it before it ever goes to the lab.

And darn it, have these readings been super correlated to high-grade uranium found in these holes so far.

So here’s the latest reading.

Drilling Highlight:

  • 21.0m mineralization from 248.5m - 269.5m, including

    • 3.19m composite mineralization of >10,000 cps radioactivity between 252.10m - 256.00m with a peak of 57,100 cps over 0.50m from 255.0m - 255.5 m

There’s more uranium in them hills, so click on the link above to check out the full story.

The stock spiked almost 20% on the news.
