The Company has three (yes, three!) diamond drill rigs operating at the Apollo project. A fourth drill rig is expected to be at the project in June 2023 and is going to test new exploration targets identified around Apollo as well as other targets at the Guayabales project.
😱 Namibia Nationalising Mining Projects?
The Mines and Energy Minister, Tom Alweendo, stated that the state should hold minimum equity percentages in these companies without having to pay for it.
Namibia is a significant producer of diamonds and uranium, and the move aligns with other countries seeking to maximize value from their minerals and increase state involvement.
Additionally, Namibia is considering the creation of a minerals exploration fund financed by royalties to support local entrepreneurs in the mining sector.
Paladin Energy, a well-known uranium company by canadian investors due to going from 1c to $10 (not a typo) in a previous uranium bull-run, fell 20% on the news and had to be halted.
Are we having fun yet?
