⛏️What company was THAT?

Greetings Contrarian,

This is The Next Big Rush, your daily drop of mining / energy news, even when there are no news . Where we come together and learn what / who to avoid.

Dear Editor, I love the content on the last newsletter, it was very eye-opening. (Editor’s note: check it out here: tnbr.beehiiv.com) My question is, if we’re to build a black list of bad actors in this space, wouldn’t it be better to name and shame ? This way we would know who to avoid at all costs.Junior Instigator Investigator

Dear Junior Instigator Investigator

A most excellent question, my friend!

When we point out shenanigans in this space, we like to give you enough clues as to find out for yourself, but without naming names in order to protect us legally. You see, we don’t live in a banana republic where we can just say what we want and not be sued. A real pity! Therefore, we point the what, and it’s your job to find out the who. Yesterday’s was a “gimme” if you’re active on CEO.CA

Besides, there are many people who will disagree on blacklist members - there are things that happen behind the scenes we’re not privy to. We tell the stories, but we’re no judge or jury (or half of these people would be behind bars). Just as importantly as the horror stories are the success stories, so make The Editor happy, hit reply and tell us of a good management team you’ve made a bet on and won. Some people’s black list is another’s success list. Who knows, we might tell the story here.

Happy speculating,

The Editor
