Greetings Contrarian,

This is The Next Big Rush, your daily drop of mining/energy investing news. Where we come together and wish we were golfing instead.

🚨 NASA Raises Red Flag On Wind Farms

The drilling focused on the CV5 Pegmatite, and the company reported a further extension of the pegmatite to 3.7km.

The program consisted of 89 drill holes and a total of 32,367m completed, including hydrogeological modelling and infill drilling.

Highlights:

  • CV5 spodumene pegmatite extended westwardly by 550m.

  • The CV5 spodumene pegmatite is continuous over a lateral distance of 3.7km and remains open along strike.

  • Core sample assay results for 67 drill holes remain to be reported.

The company plans to continue testing the CV5 Pegmatite along strike and commence with the summer-fall program.

The geological model is in the advanced stages, and an initial mineral resource estimate is expected in June/July.

πŸ’ͺ🏼 Gold and Silver Glisten

Journalists Economic Commentators are trying to figure out why gold and silver are soaring, after being whacked ferociously during the last trading session.

Some say it’s this current banking whirlwind we’re living through, some say it’s the fact job openings have fallen to their lowest level since April 2021, and the answer is probably a bit of both.

The yellow metal reached a high of $2019.02.

Silver reclaimed the $25 level with 35 cents to spare.

Junior miners are strangely behaving as they should, with the GDXJ up 3% on the day.

Shocking.

Are we actually going to start another bullish leg at a level where decent miners already make money?

One can dream.

🚨 NASA Raises Red Flag On Wind Farms

And this is not news - there have been plenty of previous studies that show wind power generation can cause higher temps.

But that's not all - wind turbines can mess with wind patterns and reduce electricity production efficiency if there are too many in one spot.

Yet, we still tend to ignore these issues when we talk about renewable energy, even though wind and solar still depend on the oil and gas industry for some of their essential materials.

We gotta stop sweeping these challenges under the rug and start figuring out how to minimize their impact on the environment.
