Western Mines Group (ASX: WMG), an aussie junior looking for gold, has made a significant discovery of a nickel system at its flagship WA Mulga Tank project, causing a surge in the company's share price. 

The gold and nickel exploration company aimed to gather geological data by test drilling the deepest part of a grant. 

Instead, they discovered an extensive nickel sulphide system, which led to a 110% increase in performance for the week. 

WMG's Mulga Tank is highly prospective for nickel, copper, and platinum-group elements, and every new drill hole is showing broad intersections of disseminated sulphide, indicating a large mineralized system.

🇮🇳 India Triples Nuclear Fleet

India's Atomic Energy Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh, has announced the approval of 10 new nuclear reactors to be installed in five Indian states. 

The reactors will be developed and installed in a 'fleet mode' by the year 2031. 

Two reactors will be installed at Kaiga, Chutka, and Gorakhpur nuclear power plants, and four will be set up at Mahi Banswara nuclear power plant in Rajasthan. 

This will more than triple India's installed nuclear power capacity from 6,780 MW to 22,480 MW. 

The move is part of India's commitment to meeting its growing energy demands and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

 👑 BHP Invests in Lithium and Uranium Discoveries

BHP Group's Xplor program (an accelerator program to support promising minerals explorers with financial and strategic support to mineral explorers and helps them with connections) is expanding beyond copper and nickel to include uranium and lithium for projects starting in September, according to the program's head, Sonia Scarselli. 

The Xplor accelerator program supported seven projects worldwide for six months in its first year, focusing on minerals important to the energy transition. 

BHP sees copper and nickel demand doubling and quadrupling by 2030, respectively. 

Well, we wonder where they think lithium and uranium are heading… ;)
