PLUS: More Gold in Guyana
Greetings Contrarian,
This is The Next Big Rush, your daily drop of mining/energy investing news. Where we come together, but not really together 'cause we all think we're smarter than the rest.
Here's your genius list:
đź’ˇLAC Shareholders Get a Green Light
đź’ˇGuyana Finds Gold. Again.
🚥Thacker Pass Is A Go
Lithium Americas Corp. (TSX: LAC) (NYSE: LAC) has received a green light from the US District Court, District of Nevada for its appeal against the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) relating to the Company's Thacker Pass project (the one that had attracted a big investment of $650 previously announced).
This ruling confirms that the permitting process for Thacker Pass was done above board and will not impede construction. The Federal Court ordered the BLM to consider one issue under mining law but imposed no restrictions that will impact the construction timeline.
The Federal Court issued a remand to the BLM to determine the Company's mining-claim rights to the lands over the area designated for waste storage and tailings. LAC has to now work closely with the BLM to complete the required follow-up.
🤑 MORE Gold Found in Guyana
G2 Goldfields Inc. (TSX.V: GTWO) (OTCQX: GUYGF), also known as "G2", announces new assay results from its ongoing drill program at the Ghanie Zone within the 19,200-acre OKO Project in Guyana. This newly discovered area is the second significant discovery for the company and lies between the OKO Main Zone and Reunion Gold's Block 4 discovery.
Highlight:
26.6m @ 5.1 g/t Au & 32.1m @ 2.2 g/t Au
The results from diamond drilling indicate the presence of significant near-surface disseminated gold mineralization, now defined over a strike length of 800 meters.
The company intends to continue drilling the Ghanie Zone with multiple drill rigs and advance additional regional targets to a drill-ready stage.
Near-surface sounds pretty darn good.
