The outgoing Prime Minister of Portugal, António Costa, has resigned. Costa is under investigation concerning the concessions for lithium mining in the Romano (Montalegre) and Barroso (Boticas) mines, and a project for an energy production plant using hydrogen in Sines.

Potential crimes under investigation include malfeasance, active and passive corruption by a political office holder, and influence peddling.

In related news, the lithium mine in Covas do Barroso does not convince the local population, and there is ongoing discussion about the future of lithium, referred to as “white petroleum” in the European Union.

We wanted the man gone, but not like this - tarnishing an already fragile industry. Clean up time!

Aton Resources Inc. (TSXV:AAN) provides an update on the recent reverse circulation percussion drilling at the Semna prospect, located within its 100% owned Abu Marawat Concession, in the Eastern Desert of Egypt.

Highlights:

• 16m of 12.54 g/t Au

• 16m of 5.19 g/t Au

• 16m of 6.30 g/t Au

The drilling program has doubled the strike length of mineralization on the Semna Main Vein zone and confirmed the presence of high-grade mineralization to the east, buried beneath alluvial wadi sediments.

3 high-grade intervals of 16m each? What sorcery is this?
