🧐 Don David Drilling
Gold Resource Corporation (NYSE American: GORO) announced the results from its 2024 exploration drilling program at Don David Gold Mine (DDGM) in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Highlights:
6.85 metres of 3.40 g/t AuEq.
4.70 metres of 15.53 g/t AuEq.
4.48 metres of 16.65 g/t AuEq.
The Three Sisters and Gloria veins remain open for expansion, with plans for additional drilling in 2025 to define and extend these new vein systems.
😉 Gold Slides On Tariffs
Today, gold prices dropped 1% as investors reacted to U.S. President Donald Trump's latest tariffs. At the same time, attention shifted to the upcoming U.S. non-farm payroll's data for insights into the Federal Reserve's monetary policy.
Spot gold fell 0.9% to $3,086.32 an ounce but remained set for a fifth consecutive weekly gain. U.S. gold futures also edged down by 0.4%. Analysts attributed the decline to a mix of profit-taking and market expectations of reduced tariffs, as well as anticipation of dovish comments from Fed Chair Jerome Powell.
Meanwhile, silver saw a 1.6% drop, headed for its worst week since December 2023, with platinum and palladium also posting losses.
