🧐 Gold Dips
Gold prices dipped today as investors took profits after a recent record rally, with spot gold down 0.6% to $2,718.83 per ounce.
Although ongoing Middle East tensions limited the decline, profit-taking followed Wednesday’s all-time high of $2,758.37. The precious metal's rally, up 31.9% this year, is on track for the largest annual growth since 1979.
Meanwhile, after Thursday's surge on potential U.S.-led sanctions on Russian exports, palladium fell 0.8%, with silver and platinum also declining.
Asian demand for gold has weakened, as high prices reduced buying in China and India.
💪 Uranium Boost
France has injected 300 million euros into state-controlled uranium producer Orano to bolster the country’s uranium industry, increasing the state's stake to 90.3%.
The funding will support projects like expanding the Georges-Besse II enrichment plant and raising Orano's capacity by a third. Amid efforts to reduce reliance on Russia’s Rosatom, Orano, which enriches uranium from Canada and Kazakhstan, aims to strengthen its strategic role in global nuclear energy.
Could this expansion challenge Russia’s dominance in the uranium enrichment market?

🐦 China's Reactor Boom
I completely agree. Not only will China not be dumping inventory into the market, they will be buying even more.
THIRTY ONE reactors under construction in China, alone.
