😍 Gold Hits High

Gold prices hit $2,774.19 per ounce, their highest since October, and are on track for a fourth weekly gain as U.S. President Donald Trump urged interest rate cuts and softened his stance on tariffs with China.

Analysts predict gold could reach $3,175 in 2025. The dollar's dip to a one-month low further supported bullion's appeal. Other precious metals also rose, with silver at $30.87, platinum at $952.29, and palladium at $999.09, all set for weekly gains.

Trump's comments come ahead of the Federal Reserve's expected decision to leave rates unchanged next week.

🤝 Energy Partnership

Bill Gates’ nuclear energy startup, TerraPower, has partnered with Sabey Data Centers (SDC) to explore powering data centres with advanced nuclear reactors. The collaboration focuses on deploying TerraPower’s Natrium reactors in Texas and the Rocky Mountain region.

This comes as tech companies seek sustainable solutions for energy-intensive AI data centres, turning to next-gen nuclear energy as a fossil fuel alternative. TerraPower’s Natrium reactor, designed to be smaller and more efficient, has a pending construction permit and a demonstration project underway in Wyoming, set to be operational by 2030.

Despite optimism, hurdles remain, including regulatory approval, commercial viability, and concerns over uranium mining and radioactive waste. Demand for data centre electricity has tripled in a decade and continues to grow, driving initiatives like these to meet energy needs sustainably.
