🧐 Tarrifs Are Coming — Gold Breaking

Gold surged to a record high of $2,800 per ounce, up over 6% this month, as market uncertainty over U.S. tariff policies fueled safe-haven demand.

Spot gold steadied at $2,795.52, while U.S. futures held at $2,820.10. President Trump reiterated threats of a 25% tariff on imports from Mexico and Canada and hinted at further duties on Chinese goods, adding to investor caution.

Analysts suggest the rally could persist if uncertainty lingers, with central bank buying providing structural support. If inflation remains high alongside slow economic growth, gold could reach $3,000. Investors now await key U.S. inflation data for further cues.

Meanwhile, silver dipped 0.2% to $31.62, platinum rose 1.2% to $978.55, and palladium slipped 0.3% to $986.50.

😉 Uranium Crunch

Uranium prices remain high as a nuclear power resurgence fuels demand, with the U.S. reassessing its classification as a critical mineral. President Trump has urged the U.S.

Geological Survey to reconsider its 2022 decision to exclude uranium from the critical minerals list, which would unlock federal funding and fast-track domestic projects. The push for nuclear energy has intensified globally, with over 60 new reactors under construction and power generation expected to hit record levels in 2025.

Meanwhile, uranium supply remains concentrated in a few key countries, and geopolitical tensions—including U.S. efforts to reduce reliance on Russian-enriched uranium—add to market uncertainty.

Despite a dip from last year’s peak, uranium prices are still at decade highs, reflecting growing supply concerns.
