Freeport-McMoRan (NYSE: FCX) is ramping up copper production across three continents without pursuing buyouts, positioning itself to meet growing demand from the clean energy sector.

Copper, crucial for electrical applications, is expected to see a 60% rise in demand by 2050. While other miners like BHP and Rio Tinto pursue acquisitions, Freeport focuses on expanding existing mines, producing 9% of the world’s copper.

By 2027, the company aims to produce 800 million pounds of copper from waste rock, with expansion projects potentially adding another billion pounds annually.

🧐 Gold Found Where?

Great Quest Gold Ltd. (TSX-V: GQ) announced drill results from its maiden diamond drilling campaign at the Belmont project, Namibia.

Highlights:

• 18m of 1.72 g/t Au from 74m, including 8m of 3.72 g/t Au.

The Belmont Project, a Greenfield discovery in Namibia, covers 72 km² and has identified 15 gold target areas with visible gold in surface rock chips. This campaign was a mere 570m. Talk about hole in one!
