Maritime Resources Corp. (TSXV: MAE; OTC Pink: MRTMF) reports further drilling success at the Hammerdown Gold Project in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

Highlights:

• 17.0 metres of 19.9 g/t gold, including 10.0 metres of 32.2 g/t gold.

• 14.0 metres of 2.5 g/t gold.

• 1.0 metre of 31.6 g/t gold.

According to the team, the results confirm continuity in high-grade zones and potential for additional mineralisation in backfill and remnant pillars.

Assays for 114 drill holes are still pending.

Gold surged past $3,000 an ounce for the first time, driven by trade tensions, U.S. rate cut expectations, and strong safe-haven demand.

Spot gold hit a record $3,004.86 before settling at $2,997.75, while futures reached $3,009.10. Prices have risen over 14% this year, fueled by Trump’s tariff threats on European alcohol, strong central bank and investment demand, and expectations that the Federal Reserve will hold interest rates steady next week.

Analysts predict further gains, with forecasts reaching up to $3,300 in 2025.
