🧐 Uranium Ban

Following a decree signed by the Cabinet of Ministers, the Russian government has imposed temporary restrictions on exporting enriched uranium to the United States.

These restrictions affect uranium exports to the US and any trade agreements involving US-registered entities, with exceptions made for supplies under special licenses. This move responds to US restrictions on Russian uranium imports for 2024-2027 and a planned ban starting in 2028.

The Russian government had previously analysed potential limits on uranium, nickel, titanium, and other strategic raw materials. Rosatom, the state nuclear corporation, controls 17% of the global nuclear fuel market and fulfilled its export obligations to 33 customers in 14 countries in 2023.

Because of the restrictions, uranium prices have risen recently, reaching $83 per pound.

🤩 Silver Boom

Silver North Resources (TSX-V: SNAG, OTCQB: TARSF) has announced a discovery from its 2024 drilling campaign at the Haldane property in Yukon, Canada.

Highlights:

  • 15.8 metres of 157 grams per tonne silver, with 3.5 metres of 460 grams per tonne silver.

  • 2.5 metres of 1,088 grams per tonne silver, with higher grades down dip in hole HLD24-30.

The team now ranks the Main Fault as a leading target for future exploration efforts.
