πŸ€” Why Is Gold Rising?

Gold prices jumped over 1% today, reaching a two-week peak amid rising Russia-Ukraine tensions, setting up for the best weekly gain in over a year. Spot gold hit $2,707.05 per ounce, while U.S. futures climbed to $2,709.70. Despite the U.S. dollar reaching a 13-month high and Bitcoin nearing $100,000, gold's safe-haven appeal remains strong.

Geopolitical risks, including Ukraine's drone strikes on Russian targets, have spurred increased investment in gold. Investors are eyeing potential Federal Reserve rate cuts in December, with a 59.4% chance of a 25-basis-point reduction, although a pause could trigger a price dip.

Other metals also saw gains: silver rose 1.7% to $31.31 per ounce, while platinum and palladium held steady for the week despite minor fluctuations, signalling strong interest in safe assets.
