πŸ‘ Nuclear Demand To Triple

At COP28, no less than 22 countries, including the US, UK, France, and South Korea, committed to tripling nuclear energy capacity by 2050 to aid carbon emission reduction.

Nuclear, supplying 18% of US electricity, is seen as a clean complement to renewables. And it’s about time! This is great news on the back of NuScale’s disaster of project cancellation due to massive costs overruns, which still plagues the industry.

China and Russia lead in new reactor constructions, while Germany has shut down its nuclear plants.
