🤠 Reviving US Reactor

The Biden administration is ready to provide $1.5 billion in support for the potential revival of the first decommissioned US nuclear reactor, signaling increased federal government backing for the nuclear industry.

Conditional approval from the US Energy Department is expected for the funding, set to be granted to the privately held Holtec International Corp. The financial assistance aims to facilitate the restart of the Palisades nuclear plant in Michigan, with disbursement anticipated as early as next month, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Is this an encouraging move by the Biden administration to invest all this money in supporting the revival of the Palisades nuclear plant?
