🤭 Troll Ordered To Pay $275k To Mining Influencer
Once upon a time, in the land of tweets and shares, there lived a stock picker by the name of Alan Francis Davison. (It doesn't rhyme, but stay with it).
He went by the moniker of Stock Swami and had a following of loyal investors on social media.
But alas, his luck ran out when he defamed a prominent mining investor from the land down under.
Through a series of ill-advised social media posts, Stock Swami had alleged that the mining investor, named Tolga Kumova, was involved in a syndicate engaged in nefarious "pump and dump" schemes to inflate the value of stocks they owned.
But, as it turns out, the stocks were not susceptible to such schemes and there was no evidence that any "dump" had taken place outside of normal trading activity.
When the case went to court, Stock Swami's defenses crumbled like a house of cards and he was ordered to pay a hefty sum of $275,000.
The judge declared that Stock Swami's accusations were nothing more than a "swaggering braggadocio" and that it should have been obvious from the start.
Moral of the story: Be careful of what you post on social media, or you may end up paying a king's ransom.
🥫 Your Pantry Just Got a Boost
The ridiculous price of foods notwithstanding, your pantry is worth more today than the weeks prior. That's because tin, the stuff most cans for food storage are made from, is up today.
Tin Barons are all the rage on Twitter today.
The low seemed to have been smack bang on Halloween, and since then we've had a steady climb.
Can we reach 35.000 USD/t by the end of Jan?
Tin Boss Alphamin Resources (TSX.V: AFM) is up a clean 39% for the month.
We are instantly reminded of another chart floating around today:
JK, we 💙 tin.

Btw, when was the last time you took your spouse / significant other to eat?
Today's your chance to redeem yourself, they told me so.
