🤞 Uranium in Sweden?

Sweden's Climate Minister, Romina Pourmokhtari, announced plans to end the uranium mining ban, supporting the country's goal to expand nuclear energy capacity. The Swedish Parliament is largely in favor of the ban's removal.

The government intends to construct at least ten reactors over the next 20 years. Earlier, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson mentioned changes to legislation to promote nuclear investments. Although Sweden planned to phase out nuclear power in 1980, this decision was reversed in 2010. Presently, nuclear reactors contribute 40% of Sweden's electricity. Pourmokhtari aims to double this output in two decades.

With Sweden holding 80% of the EU's uranium deposits, companies like Aura Energy (ASX: AEE) and District Metals (TSX: DMX) have uranium projects there. BIG if true.
